Our History

Our origins began following a well attended public meeting in the town at the beginning of June 2003, which was addressed by Carolyn Wilson from the Alness Initiative who explained the reasons for setting up their group and showed what can be achieved if the community comes together with a common goal in mind. As a result of this meeting a wiling band of volunteers formed Ellon Civic Pride.

Most of us have jobs and family commitments and take part in other activities in and around Ellon, but we thought if everyone could donate a few hours of their time at some point during the year, a lot could be achieved to make the town a better place to live in and somewhere to be proud of belonging to.

Ellon Civic Pride is a non-profit organisation made up entirely of voluteers. Although we make the biggest effort to ensure the site's content is correct, we can not legally guarentee this is the case, and therefore cannot be held liable for any misleading information.
